I'm just getting sick and tired of all the commotion going on about sealing. Just because a bunch of people couldn't stomach what they saw, it became this huge issue that lead to bleeding heart protestations against what was once an annual collect of food and clothing for northern natives. Thanks to that, the economy and living of those people worsens along with all the other problems the great north bears to endure.

I think the main reason why people got so appalled was that baby seals would make an easier target, and that red kinda screams when it's on white. Sure they're cute with their little black eyes and nose and fluffy white fur, but what the fuck do you think veal is? It's a known fact that baby meat is the tenderest of all, it's just that getting it is sometimes a sensitive issue. I will agree on one thing though, maybe clubbing the crap out of them on the ice isn't the most humane way of doing it. A bullet to the head would be a lot less effort to kill it.

I see sealing as an annual population control. Seals, along with many other marine animals, eat a lot of fish. Now seals will probably over populate and clean out the fish. With global warming, ice caps shrinking, kinda limits the polar bears to reach their food sources (seals). Now they are reduced to scavenge threw human waste in hopes of survival. Sealing was at least a way to get descent food. But thanks to your ignorance to save only cute animals, we are going loose yet another species.
